Acting. Acting is a major part of modern-day culture. Many who become actors acquire a bachelor’s degree, though no degree is formally required. Criminal lawyers, in particular, settle who is to blame for a crime. A prosecutor tries to make someone look guilty, and tries to put them in jail. A defense attorney defends the accused, and they try to make them seem not guilty, or lower their sentence. People must graduate high school to become a lawyer. They must also complete four years of an undergraduate and three years in law school. It is helpful to major in political science, and receive a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) and a bachelor’s degree. They must take the LSAT test, and they must be licensed by taking the “bar exams”. Lawyers must be able to analyze data, form a professional relationship with their clients, and research information about their case. Lawyers must be very knowledgeable about the law to represent their clients in criminal proceedings. Herpetology is the study of frogs, toads, salamanders, and newts. It is also the study of snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, and crocodilians. Herpetology is a subfield of biology. One job in herpetology is field research. During field research a herpetologist would check fields, rivers, streams, and many other places to find any herpetofauna. A herpetologist would do this to help find the population and range of certain species. If they were a breeder they would breed herpetofauna for either scientific research or just to sell them. If they were part of a zoo staff they would care for the animals and inform people who visit the zoo about them. There is lots of travel involved in herpetology. Herpetologist must have at least a masters degree in wildlife biology. Herpetology is a very competitive field. The starting salary is around twenty-seven thousand but after a couple years of experience it can be from forty thousand to fifty thousand. During a day the activities of a Herpetologist could be going to a school and teaching kids about them. It could also be writing a research journal for other herpetologists to learn from it. Physical therapy is a job that is spending time on their feet and working with patients to recover from their injuries. At a minimum, a therapist needs at least a Degree of Physical Therapy and graduating from high school. In college, therapists should take biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, and pharmacology. Also, a person needs three years of training to become a physical therapist. A therapist reviews a patient medical history and their recent injuries to see what they have to do to help the patient get back from their injuries. They also have to set a plan or strategy to what they are going to do first the patient. Seeing how they are improving and evaluate the patient’s progress every time they come in for the next amount of weeks or months. Using a lot of exercises and stretching maneuvers is some of the big things that physical therapist’s like to do to recover the muscle. Also, educate patients and their families about what to expect from and how best to cape with recovery progress. This job is full time job that person can do for their whole lives if they want to.
